Looking for one that is on the less expensive side. Also nothing too large, I have seen boards that have a ridiculous amount of holds in them.

I have the Metolius Simulator (Discontinued, now they make the 3D). If you can find a used version of the old simulator I would highly recommend it. Even though it has a bunch of holds it’s not curved and doesn’t have much height to it so it fits over most doorframes. Other options include the Slim Gym and the regular old Rock Rings.

The simulator is in the $80 range, but used or closeout I’m sure you could find it at half price
The Slim Gym is around $50 new
The Rock Rings are around $40 new
Some other companies make cheaper boards, but I like the layout of Metolius’ boards and in my opinion Metolius makes some of the best hangboards out there. I had a warranty issue with mine and Metolius was great – they rushed me a new board in a week. Great service. Good luck and happy climbing!
