Hey i am hoping to join the Royal Marines as an officer and sometime later specialising as a mountain leader. Are the Royal marine mountain leader courses different for officers and non-officers?

Non- Officer: As a Mountain Leader, you will be trained in rock climbing, vertical assault, survival skills, sniping and escape and evasion techniques so that you can provide longrange reconnaissance for the Royal Marines.

Officer: Mountain Leaders specialise in mountain and cold-weather warfare. You will be trained in climbing, mountaineering, route finding and reconnaissance, and how to survive in the extreme cold. As well as using these skills in operations, you will play an important part in training other Commandos to work in these demanding environments.

Is this just the way it was written or do they really do the same thing and trained the same way?
I am higly intrested in the sniping part and i heard from a friend that on completion of the training the Officer will not serve as a mountain leader but return to his unit and pass on the skills, is this true
